Welcome to the
Official CSI Miami interview with -
Jerry
Bruckheimer
-
Executive Producer
On
CSI as edutainment-
We call it edutainment- where we can educate and entertain
you at the same time. CSI is perfect because you are learning new things
about forensics and DNA. It reminds viewers of the things that we caught in
the trials on television, but we
go even deeper than that. You’re being populated with interesting ideas, new
technology and solving the crimes with our actors.
On
the
mole in CSI: MIAMI-
The more mystery you add to a show, or the things that bring drama like
a mole in CSI: MIAMI,
up the enjoyment of watching the show. We love doing things like that.
On expecting the worst-
I always expect the worst and hope for the best. When I
watched the season opener, and noticed that it caught the audience’s
attention and how it built, I was very surprised. I never walk into
something thinking this is going to be a huge hit show. In fact, I always
think the opposite so I’m surprised by the success of the first one, and
then Miami
took off, and now New York.
I think it’s really gratifying. Especially, for the people who work on the
shows.
On the show’s international success-
It’s so fascinating for me, as a producer, to realize that
this show is not only a huge success in
America, but it’s in every country in the
world except for three or four. We’ve achieved success around the world, and
it shows that the entertainment we create travels well around the world, and
much better than most shows.
