CSI: Miami

Season 2 - Episode 1 - Blood Brothers

Teleplay by Ann Donahue
Directed by Danny Cannon

As Horatio and Alexx stand in an intersection over the sprawled body of a beautiful young girl, they quickly realize this was no ordinary hit and run. The tire tracks make it clear - the driver hit the gas before he hit the girl. This was murder.

Back at the CSI labs, Alexx coaxes the victim to tell her story… through a pocket full of $100 bills, and a palm full of unique blue glass shards. One thing’s for sure - not many working girls drink Azuret Champagne.

With no witnesses, the CSIs are forced to piece things together through physical evidence. Delko supervises a computer recreation of the impact, leading him to a car with an unusually low front bumper - and an unusually high price tag: a quarter million dollar Lamborghini Diablo. Using the pearl metallic yellow paint found at the scene, the car is easily traced back to its owner, modeling agent, Scott Mandeville.

When Horatio, shows up at the Sagamore to speak to Mandeville, he is able to i.d. the victim – Tess Kimball, a model from Houston. Horatio confronts him about the paint sample from his Lamborghini, and Mandeville makes it clear that the car is an agency perk. Anyone at the party could have been driving it. When a quick search of Mandeville’s room turns up bloody shards of blue glass – it’s clear that Mandeville needs to call his lawyer.

Yelina turns up with the news that Tess had a roommate – also repped by Mandeville - who hasn’t been seen in two days. And where there’s one dead girl, there might be two.
Under duress, Mandeville gives up Clavo Cruz – the son of the ruler of the South American nation of Baracas – a man living in the United States under the protection of diplomatic immunity.
