Written by Ildy Modrovich & Corey Miller
Directed by David Grossman

At a Miami night club, a rap concert is being taped for a cable network. Rap star 10-Large takes the stage and the crowd goes wild. Gunshots ring out and the crowd reacts like they are a part of the song, at least until 10-Large drops the mic and hits the stage.

Later, Horatio and Alexx are examining the body of Billy Rodman, a professional bodyguard hired to protect 10-Large at the concert. Rodman was shot twice, one of the bullets going straight through his body. 10-Large was shot in the shoulder and Horatio comments on how this incident will make him an even bigger star.

After asking all the other bodyguards to submit to gunshot residue tests, Horatio interviews 10-Large. 10-Large refuses to help and shows Horatio other bullet scars on his body. He tells Horatio that he didn’t need the cops then and he doesn’t need them now.

Speedle and Delko review the videotape of the concert to see if the shooter was caught on camera. Unfortunately, a woman took her top off at the same time and all the cameras were on her. Delko notices on the footage that many people were snapping pictures with camera phones. Speedle and Delko collect camera phones from all the audience members still being held and they are able to piece together an overall picture of the concert.

Alexx pulls two .45 bullets out of Billy Rodman and turns them over to Calleigh. Soon after Calleigh leaves, Alexx hears a noise coming from one of her morgue drawers. Alexx is shocked to find a body moving around in a body bag. Alexx opens it up and finds a very disoriented Veronica Day. After sending Veronica to the hospital, Alexx interviews the paramedic that pulled Veronica out of a car wreck. He claims that he could find no vital signs on Veronica and that he couldn’t double check because his EKG was broken.
Speedle and Delko visit the scene of Veronica’s accident to try and figure out what went wrong. The car hit a fire hydrant and Veronica was sprayed with cold water, causing hypothermia and explaining her lack of vital signs. Speedle and Delko also find evidence that someone else was in the car and discover the dead body of Nicole Harjo up in a tree. She was thrown from the car during the accident and the paramedics never noticed.

Meanwhile, Horatio interviews Thugg G, a rapper that claims 10-Large stole his songs. Thugg G admits being at the concert but claims he didn’t shoot anyone. Horatio reminds him that 10-Large had a restraining order against him and takes him into custody while they do a ballistics test on Thugg G’s .45 pistol.

Calleigh determines that Thugg G’s gun did not fire the fatal shots. She also theorizes that 10-Large was hit with the bullet that passed through Billy Rodman. Horatio finds 10-Large at a café and demands that he allow the CSIs to remove the bullet from his shoulder. Suddenly, a car screams around the corner and Horatio forces 10-Large to the ground as gunshots ring out.

10-Large has his personal doctor remove the bullet at the police station. Horatio asks 10-Large about other people that might want the rapper dead. 10-Large dismissed the idea that his major rival, Pimp Hop, could be responsible.

Alexx is doing the autopsy on Nicole Harjo with Delko observing. The branch that Nicole was impaled upon is removed and there is no evidence of blood flow from the wound. However, there is blood from three other wounds that the direction of flow suggests Nicole was dead before the car accident. Delko and Speedle go to the hospital to interview Veronica Grant about Nicole. Veronica tells them that Nicole was her lover, but she can’t remember the crash or anything that happened previous to it. They then go to Veronica’s apartment and find obvious signs of struggle.

Meanwhile, the bullet recovered from 10-Large proves to be the one that passed through Billy Rodman, and Horatio and Calleigh return to the club to re-check the ballistics of the shooting. By running strings to show the paths the bullets took, a startling fact is uncovered: The shooter had a clear shot at 10-Large but shot at Billy instead. Billy Rodman was executed.

Horatio’s investigation of Billy Rodman’s previous job leads to the discovery of a fatal hit and run accident. But was Billy’s murder revenge…or a cover-up?
