Season Two of CSI: Miami

Introduced as part of a regular season episode of the top-rated drama series, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, CSI: MIAMI premiered on the CBS Television Network September 23, 2002. The premiere received the highest rating of any network drama in the past eight years and garnered a People’s Choice Award for Best New Drama Series.

A fast-paced forensics drama set against the lush backdrop and pulsing rhythms of the southernmost U.S. metropolis, CSI: MIAMI follows a South Florida team of investigators who use cutting-edge forensics and police work to solve crimes.

Led by Lieutenant Horatio Caine (David Caruso), the Miami-Dade Crime Scene Investigators work amid the steamy, tropical surroundings and cultural crossroads of Miami. Caine, a former bomb squad detective, often relies on a mix of gut instinct and the forensic evidence presented by each case.

The Miami-Dade CSI team also includes Calleigh Duquesne (Emily Procter), a bilingual Southern beauty with a specialty in ballistics; Tim Speedle (Rory Cochrane), a cocky-yet- disarming investigator who is well connected on the street, and Eric Delko (Adam Rodriguez), an underwater recovery expert who knows all the twists and turns of the Florida waterways. Rounding out the team are Alexx Woods (Khandi Alexander), the no-nonsense medical examiner with a special sensitivity for the departed victims, and Lt. Yelina Salas (Sofia Milos), the widow of Horatio’s brother, Raymond.

Together the investigators of CSI: MIAMI collect and analyze the evidence to defend the memory of those who often cannot speak for themselves – the victims.

Episode 1: Blood Brothers

Miami’s fashion week claims a victim when a young model is killed in a hit and run. The CSIs find unexpected obstacles when they connect the evidence to two South American brothers under the protection of the U.S. State Department.

Episode 2: Dead Zone

When an undersea treasure hunter is found spear gunned to the hull of his boat, the CSIs find themselves dropped into the murky depths of modern day piracy.

Episode 3: Hard Time

The team is called to a crime scene – only to find that their “body” is still breathing - and the trail of evidence stops dead on a man already behind bars.

Episode 4: Death Grip

The CSIs must race against the clock - as the disappearance of a teenage girl poses a question that can only be answered by a 12-foot endangered reptile.

Episode 5: The Best Defence

When the heir to a Miami sugar fortune is the lone survivor of a brutal nightclub shooting, the CSIs must cross the lines of class and privilege to solve the crime.

Episode 6: Hurricane Anthony

The CSIs lend a hand in disaster relief as Hurricane Anthony touches down in Miami – leaving three dead bodies in its wake.

A murder at the Miami Grand Prix has the CSIs racing to solve the crime.

Episode 8: Big Brother

While the CSIs rush to solve the murder of a web-surfing businessman, Horatio comes face to face with a little girl who bears a distinct resemblance to his long dead brother

Delko is forced to keep a secret from Horatio when the search for a woman’s killer leads straight to one of their own.

When a beautiful socialite turns up dead, the CSIs uncover a kidnapping game for the idle rich.

The truth is anything but pretty as the CSIs investigate the apparent suicide of a cosmetic surgeon.

While investigating an apparent road rage murder, the CSI team must take their cues from an eyewitness who is developmentally disabled.

When an infamous Cuban criminal living under an assumed identity is tortured to death, the CSIs must track his killer and bring him to justice.

A wildfire in the Everglades leads to the discovery of two separate bodies…and a near death experience for two of the CSIs.
