CSI: Miami“Detective Frank Tripp” (Rex Linn)
A “Cop’s Cop”
with more than 20 years experience on the street, Frank Tripp has proven
his value to Horatio Caine’s CSI team time and time again, thus earning
the non-forensics-educated officer a key role in Caine’s squad.
What Tripp lacks in formal forensics training, he makes up for in
street experience and crime-solving instinct.
He has an uncanny sense for recognizing when a suspect is lying,
or when a crime scene or situation seems too “hinky” to be as it
appears. A no-nonsense
interviewer, Tripp lets suspects know right off the bat what his mission
is, as well as his determination to complete it.
A
working actor for nearly 20 years, Rex Linn has appeared in more than 30
feature films, but is most recognized for his performance as villainous
U.S. Treasury Agent Richard Travers, opposite Sylvester Stallone and
John Lithgow, in the blockbuster
Cliffhanger.
Some of the other films in which Linn can be seen include
Cheaper by the Dozen, The
Salton Sea, Blast from the Past, Rush Hour, Tin Cup, Clear and Present
Danger, Wyatt Earp and
Independence Day.
He
has appeared in the hit television series
JAG, 3rd Rock From the Sun,
Northern Exposure, The Young Riders and
The Adventures of Briscoe
County, Jr., as well as in the made-for-television movies and
mini-series Monte Walsh,
Crossfire Trail, The Jack Bull, A Murder on Shadow Mountain, Alone, Jack
Reed: A Search for Justice, In the Line of Duty: Siege at Marion
and The Gambler Returns: The
Luck of the Draw.
