Season 4 -
Episode 24 - Rampage
Written by Ann Donahue & Sunil Nayar
Directed by Duane Clark
The Biscayne
courthouse explodes in gunfire as Mala Noche leader, Raphael Sifuentes’,
trial gets underway.
Sifuentes is freed by fellow gang member Anthony Riaz, though third Mala
Noche operative Jose Truillo is shot by Horatio Caine during the melee.
Truillo’s dying words to Horatio are that the Noche still have a
“hit” out on him.
Natalia’s
furious with Delko because a jealous ex-girlfriend, Gloria, broke her
car window. Calleigh
deduces the courthouse custodian, Alan Parker, was the Noche’s inside
guy for the trial shootout.
Parker claims they threatened his family so he had no choice.
Delko confronts Gloria about Natalia’s car window.
Next, Marisol’s car is vandalized and her purse is stolen.
Delko tracks Gloria down again and gets Marisol’s purse back.
The imbalanced former paramour is convinced that Delko and
Marisol are married. On a
tip, Horatio arrives at a restaurant where the MN hang out, but they are
gone. Parker admits he
works for the Noche and tipped them off that Horatio was onto their
hideout. On the
street, shots ring out and both Delko and Marisol are shot – Delko in
the shoulder and Marisol in the abdomen.
Horatio rushes to the scene, and en route to the hospital the
ambulance is blocked by a black Lincoln.
Horatio knows this stand off is meant for him, so he kisses
Marisol and gets out of the ambulance.
The ambulance speeds off to the hospital and he faces the Noche.
The driver of the car bolts.
Dr.
Kagan tells Horatio that Marisol’s prognosis is not good.
Calleigh and Delko search the area where the shots were fired and
find a fingernail belonging to Gloria.
Wolfe’s search of the
Lincoln
turns up a contact lens belonging to the driver, Memmo Fierro.
Horatio realizes that all the heads of the Mala Noche are all in
town for their Universal meeting.
Delko
finds Gloria, who confesses she was going to shoot Marisol, but couldn’t
do it, then heard shots ring out from overhead.
Horatio surrounds the mansion where the meeting is taking place;
Sifuentes tries to escape by boat but is brought down by the Coast
Guard. Horatio returns to
the hospital just in time to say one last goodbye to Marisol.
Fueled by rage and sadness Delko and Horatio extract a confession
from Fierro that he did the hit – ordered by Riaz.
Horatio will stop at nothing to find and bring to justice his
wife’s killer.
