Five members of the Mala Noche are celebrating poolside at a beautiful Miami mansion when an unknown assassin arrives and pumps rounds in each of the five members.  Arriving at the scene, Horatio hopes that one of the victims is Riaz, but that’s not the case.  Officer Jessup begins a search of the house and sets off a pineapple grenade booby trap – the Mala Noche trademark; he’s killed in the blast.

Calleigh and Wolfe find casings from a Russian machine gun.  Delko runs into Natalia, she looks a little fraught, says it’s about her date with Wolfe.   Federal agents arrive and take over the lab; it is now under investigation since a tip indicates that $12,000 was missing from the evidence collected during the Mala Noche drug bust.  Valera assures agent Perry that she followed procedure in handling the money.   Monica West is against Horatio using Fierro to get a lead to Riaz.  Calleigh assures Perry that she also followed procedure with the money; which is to count the money and document every dollar then initial and seal up the envelope and that’s what she did.   Perry accuses Wolfe of having keratitis, a degenerative eye disease.   Wolfe is furious since he told only Cooper he had keratitis, to see if he Cooper might be the mole.  Fierro tells Horatio Riaz was working with a guy named Rafik Ohmad.  Delko finds a Russian Krinkov automatic in Ohmad’s file drawer and he admits he shot up the mansion because Riaz ripped him off.

Ohmad tells Horatio he can find Riaz in the financial district.   Delko secures the tapes from security cameras posted in the financial area.   Natalia confesses to Delko that she’s the mole.  Delko is still in shock and furious when Perry calls him in for questioning.  He tells Perry Natalia got all her information by way of sexual favors and he’ll testify to that in Federal court.  The security tapes reveal a payoff to Riaz by Ohmad, some combat gear and a young woman – Marisol.  Horatio knows Riaz is planning something big.  Wolfe takes another look at the evidence envelope that held the missing money and realizes it’s been cut and re-sealed.  He also finds traces of cornstarch powder from gloves, something they don’t use in their lab.   Riaz tells Horatio he used to buy drugs for Marisol’s cancer group, and that he used her to get to him.

Natalia explains to Calleigh that the investigation of the lab began locally and started long before she got there.   Calleigh accuses Elliott of stealing the money.  He says he was putting it back after he realized that Monica had stolen it.   Elliott reluctantly wears a wire to get Monica’s confession on tape.  Horatio shoots Riaz in the leg just in time to abort the launch of a missile aimed at bringing down a plane over Miami.  Riaz is going down ... until Horatio gets word that Riaz made a deal with the Feds and is going back to stand trial in Brazil.  Horatio is determined to stop Riaz, international borders or no international borders.
