CSI: MiamiSeason 5 - Episode 11 - Backstabbers
Written by
Bary O'Brien Horatio closely
watches suspected terrorist Sonya Barak and her defense attorney Russell
Tanninger as they approach the courthouse.
BANG! A bullet hits
Tanninger and a yellow Corvette speeds away.
Horatio draws his weapon and rushes to Tanninger, as he chokes to
death on his own blood.
Sonya takes off in Tanninger’s Mercedes.
Horatio gives Delko the last three numbers on the Corvette’s
license plates ... 1-0-6. The Corvette
owner, Craig Edwards, tests positive for gun residue.
Horatio asks Craig if he is affiliated with Al-Qadr.
His young attorney, Larry Fremont, tells his client not to answer
the question. Calleigh and
Wolfe question Los Craneos gang member Hector Rivera when he is found to
be driving Tanninger’s Mercedes.
The body of Gabriel Cervantes is found in the car’s trunk.
Hector says he carjacked Sonya and he’s not commenting on
Cervantes’ murder. Calleigh
listens as eight year-old Emma Cervantes describes the man who stabbed
her father, Gabriel, while she hid in their bodega (market). Natalia and
Horatio determine that Tanninger’s bullet was meant for Sonya and
Edwards did not fire the gun that killed Tanninger.
Calleigh persuades inmate and Los Craneos gang boss Rulon Domingo
to admit to ordering Rivera to kill ex-gang member Cervantes.
Horatio, Tripp and several uniformed officers follow Sonya and
Tanninger’s cell phone signal to a warehouse.
Horatio orders Sonya to come out when gunfire erupts.
Armed insurgents led by Abu Nafi exchange fire with Horatio,
Tripp and the uniforms. Abu
Nafi is hit in the arm. The
uniforms arrest him and the remaining insurgents.
