A sleepy stretch
of Ocean Drive
lined with designer store fronts is consumed with the loud roar of
motorcycles. In a small
outdoor café a young girl’s screams are unheard through the roar as she
watches a body fall from the balcony of a towering apartment complex.
Calleigh
investigates and gathers extensive evidence from the apartment where the
victim, Billy Gault, fell.
An accident on the Causeway forces Calleigh to take the back roads to
the lab; she’s run off the road and into the swamp, compromising all her
evidence from the murder scene.
Wolfe is able to salvage a hand written note that has the Crypt
Kings motorcycle gang insignia on it and the name V-Ray.
Rick “V-Ray” Groves, part Easy Rider and part Rock Star, assures
Horatio he and Gault were a team. Calleigh spots Jake Berkeley, an
undercover cop in the group of Crypt Kings.
Berkeley
confesses that he and Gault, whose real name is Ken McCarthy, were
working undercover on an investigation into the Crypt Kings.
Gault’s widow Suzanne gives Horatio her husband’s computer flash
drive, leading him to the Crypt King’s gun smuggling business.
The guns being smuggled are a type of CS (corner shot) gun which
are used by the Israeli army.
A print belonging to Angela Downey is found inside the truck that
ran Calleigh off the road.
Angela is Crypt King Hawk Reed’s girlfriend.
Suzanne
admits she tried to keep tabs on her husband to be sure he was ok, but
swears she didn’t kill him.
Seth Andrews, rich and extremely well connected in
Miami and Washington DC,
admits he bought the stolen guns from the Crypt Kings.
Horatio suspects Andrews is reselling the guns in the
Middle East, but knows it will be tough to prove.
Calleigh links the gun Delko found in Reed’s saddle bag to
Berkeley.
Berkeley
admits his 9 mil is missing, but says he didn’t kill Gault.
Delko traces the oil residue found on Berkeley’s gun to
Groves.
Groves
admits he killed Gault after discovering Gault was a cop.
