Horatio and
Tripp stand on a movie set looking at Hollywood
superstar Brody Lassiter’s dead body as it hangs out of the trunk of a
stunt car. Eddie Corbett,
Brody’s childhood friend and Lassiter family-appointed Brody-sitter
rushes up and blames himself for not looking after the actor/party
animal more closely.
Stuntman Rod
Vickers tells Delko he drove the stunt car and Brody to White Sands, the
rehab center for the rich and famous where Brody was currently a
resident, following a night of partying in which Brody remained
perfectly sober. Vickers
says that Brody entered the building, then Vickers fell asleep in the
car for a couple of hours.
Alexx and Wolfe discover that Brody was hanged before being put in the
trunk. Alexx rules out
suicide after proving Brody tried to free himself from the rope while
being strangled.
Horatio
presents a search warrant to Peter Ashford, White Sands’ ultra-slick
administrator. Ashford
wants to protect his celebrity cliental, but Horatio wants answers.
Natalia and Wolfe search Brody’s room and discover a groove in
the ceiling rafter where the noose was positioned, along with a strand
of hair belonging to tabloid princess Holly Reese, also a resident at
the rehab center. They also
discover a tiny video camera positioned in the ceiling.
Holly admits to having sex with Brody in him room but not to
killing him. Ashford
confesses to hiding cameras in his clients’ rooms for tabloid
exploitation. Delko
questions rehab resident Jolene Kitt about the dental floss noose that
was used to kill Brody.
Jolene tells Delko that she made the noose for herself in case she
couldn’t hack rehab; it was stolen.
She also tells Delko that during the “confession” stage of
recovery, Brody admitted to her that he killed someone.
Alexx and Calleigh examine Brody’s body and determine he had been in a
car accident long ago. Natalia
and Delko search the auto crash records and discover that Brody was
driving the car that killed Diane Corbett, Eddie Corbett’s big sister.
Eddie confesses to killing Brody and stuffing him in the stunt
car’s trunk while Vickers slept in the front seat, after learning that
Brody was actually responsible for his sister’s death.
Eddie is arrested
