On the deck of a
pricey sailboat, Hank Atherton points a shotgun at his chainsaw-toting
wife, Laurie, who threatens to cut the boat to pieces.
As Horatio brings the situation under control, Wolfe approaches
and tells Horatio that thirty year-old fitness trainer Mandy Felding has
been found dead in the Atherton’s multi-million dollar home.
While
Alexx and Ryan examine Mandy’s body, teenager Nathan Atherton explains
that Mandy was his dad’s girlfriend.
Alexx reveals that Mandy died of blunt trauma to the head.
Ryan spots a vase and a hole in the wall where drywall flakes
match those on Mandy’s body.
Hank Atherton tells Tripp that Mandy’s murderer is probably the
same guy who stole his Lamborghini.
Horatio arrests Hank and Laurie Atherton.
Natalia
discovers semen in Mandy’s body, belonging to her jealous husband, Todd.
Todd confesses to killing Mandy with the vase after learning
she’d been having an affair with Atherton.
Horatio arrests Todd and frees Hank and Laurie Atherton.
Delko, Alexx and Natalia stand near Hank Atherton’s stolen
Lamborghini, which is accompanied by the very dead body of Stan
Lockwood. Alexx determines
that Lockwood’s neck was broken when the car door was slammed on his
head. Natalia finds the
Lamborghini keys in the middle of a fire ant mound, along with the car’s
bill of sale to Lockwood from the Athertons.
Laurie admits to selling Hank’s car to Lockwood for two hundred
dollars, to spite Hank.
Horatio and Wolfe arrest Paul Warner, the Atherton’s pool boy and
Laurie’s part time lover, for Lockwood’s murder after discovering his
shoe print on the Lamborghini, his fire ant-bitten arm and bits of
Lockwood’s flesh in Warner’s jacket zipper.
Wolfe arrives at the bank where the Athertons and sleazy divorce
lawyers Stacey Wakeman and Allen Comden argue over the Atherton’s empty
safe deposit box. Comden
and Stacey convince the Athertons to sign over their house to them for
legal fees.
Calleigh
discovers Comden’s dead body, along with a bloody cake knife covered
with Laurie and Hank Atherton’s finger prints.
Horatio arrests Laurie and Hank after they admit to murdering
Comden. Nathan is relieved
that his parents will be apart forever.
