Episode 9 - Going, Going, Gone
Written by

Horatio
questions George Kornspan as he stands, half dressed and covered in dead
model Rebecca Roth’s blood.
George explains that he “purchased” two women at Peter Kinkella’s
charity auction, and had left the room to take some Viagra.
Upon his return, model Katie Watson was gone and Rebecca was
bloody, dead and blindfolded with his tie.
George swears he didn’t blindfold or kill Rebecca.
Tripp escorts George to the station.
Horatio
listens to smug entrepreneur Peter Kinkella explain that his charity
auctions are perfectly
legal, while Wolfe and Natalia examine the crime scene.
Kinkella says he was with his girlfriend, Sonya Moreta, when
Rebecca was murdered.
Natalia finds the murder weapon, a silver letter opener.
Alexx notices a wedding ring tan line on Rebecca’s hand and a
long black hair. Rebecca is
blonde. Model Katie Watson
is located, and Delko questions her as she strokes her long black hair.
Katie put George’s tie on Rebecca to calm her down, she claims.
Calleigh discovers Kinkella’s blood on the handle of the letter
opener.
Kinkella
tells Horatio that he cut himself opening mail.
Calleigh finds Rebecca’s ring at a pawn shop.
Carl Thorton, Rebecca’s jealous ex-boyfriend, sold the ring after
photographing Rebecca with undercover cop Jake Berkeley, who has been
investigating Kinkella and his “women for charity” operation.
Delko and Wolfe find Homeland Security agent/model Katie Watson’s
microphone and Carl Thorton’s bloody shoeprint at the crime scene. Carl
is arrested for murdering Rebecca.
Katie
explains to Horatio that Kinkella’s family has been kidnapped by a
terrorist sleeper cell fronted by Sonya Moreta.
The “model for auction” money was their ransom.
The CSI team arrive at the pier where George Kornspan stands
aiming a gun. George shoots
Calleigh. Jake Berkeley
shoots George. Calleigh
pries the bullet from her vest while Horatio fires and hits an
explosive-laden truck headed for a nuclear power plant.
The terrorist suicide mission is foiled.
