CSI: Miami“Ryan Wolfe” (Jonathan Togo)As the first responding officer
at the scene of a bus crash, Patrol Officer Ryan Wolfe impressed Horatio
Caine enough to earn himself a position with CSI. Wolfe
immediately makes it known that he is more interested in uncovering the
truth than proving himself, and by using traits already inherent in his
character – intelligence, drive, and sense of curiosity – he is able to
put scientific knowledge into context and solve his first case.
However, it is not long before Wolfe’s desire to be recognized creates
tension within the CSI team – something he must learn to control if he
is to maintain harmony with his colleagues. Season Four found Ryan Wolfe
completely immersed in his work as a CSI, as old trepidations were shed
and a new confidence was adopted.
However, when he was shot in the eye by a nail gun, his entire
future as a CSI was put into jeopardy, and he hid an ongoing sight issue
in order to protect his job.
His interest in Natalia Boa Vista turned ugly when she was revealed to
be the department’s “mole,” and Ryan flat-out refuses to work with her
when Calleigh assigns them as a team on the first case of Season Five.
Reluctantly, he accepts Calleigh’s edict, but at what price to
his respect for Calleigh?
